Hey there! It’s Georen (pronounced “jer-in” because people are always wondering how it is pronounced lol). I’m the one behind the lens capturing all of your favorite moments. I am a 27 year old photographer based in San Jose del Cabo and love capturing just about anything that I can get in front of my lens including couples, weddings, families, and portraits! My style is very true-to-color tones as I am a photographer that is OBSESSED with natural light!

Trust me, I LOVE those super posed family photos but I spend most of my time with a camera in my hand because I LOVE catching those vulnerable, honest, and real pictures that can’t be posed. Getting to watch your babies grow. Meeting new faces. Watching you hold your belly in excitement. Seeing your best friend get down on one knee. Popping the champagne at your graduation. Chasing your love around the desert. Getting in the water. Dancing in the sunset. Capturing those in between moments. And those big moments. The ones that really show you who you are. And what matters to you. And the families you’ve built. And all that GOD has done in your life and blessed you with.

That is my WHY.

I seek to capture not only the big moments, but also the fleeting glances, the tender gestures, and the in-between moments that often go unnoticed. My approach to photography is rooted in genuine connections and a deep understanding of my clients. I take the time to listen to their stories, understand their vision, and discover what makes them special. This enables me to capture their true essence and tell their story through my lens.

MY LOVE STORY

The story of James and me is one of the Lord’s provision and timing woven so beautifully together. We first met in December of 2020 at a family photoshoot his mom had organized. For James, it was love at first sight. For me… not so much, at least not right away. He asked me out on a date every single month for almost a year straight, and each time I laughed it off, thinking maybe one day. What I didn’t realize was that God was giving me the gift of time — to see James not only as someone pursuing me, but as someone I could truly build a life with.

That year of “not yet” turned into one of the sweetest seasons. We became best friends, inseparable in our little circle of friends. We fell in love country swing dancing, laughed late into the night, and grew in faith side by side at church. James was patient, kind, and steady — never pushing, always showing up. And then, finally, in October 2021, I said yes to a date with him. From that moment on, my heart knew it had found home.

Things moved quickly after that. We got engaged in April 2022 and joyfully married in September of the same year. Three years later, our love has only deepened. We’ve adopted our golden retriever, Belle, and filled our days with laughter, friendship, and unwavering devotion to one another.

What I love most about our story is how ordinary moments turned into extraordinary ones. A group of friends gathering, a dance under twinkling lights, late-night conversations about faith and life — all of these little pieces stitched together to form the foundation of our love. It wasn’t one big grand gesture that won me over, but the way James showed up day after day with consistency, kindness, and a heart that pointed me closer to the Lord.

Marriage has only magnified those qualities. Every day with James feels like a mix of comfort and adventure — mornings filled with coffee and laughter, afternoons spent working toward our dreams, and evenings unwinding with Belle curled up at our feet. We’ve learned that love isn’t just about big milestones, but about choosing each other in the smallest, simplest ways.

Looking back, I smile at how God’s timing was so much greater than my own. If I had said “yes” earlier, I might not have appreciated the gift of friendship that laid our foundation. And if James had given up, we wouldn’t be here today. Instead, the Lord wove patience, pursuit, and friendship into a story that now overflows with joy, grace, and an unshakable love. Our beginning was beautiful, but what excites me most is knowing the best is still yet to come.

I am pretty much ALWAYS shooting but when I am not third wheeling with a camera in my hand I am probably serving at church, hiking, journaling, or collecting vintage theology books.
